Interesting - so you bought the Z-specific lower sleeves and a set of BC's S13 coilover struts. What is your plan for the tops?

Yes. I do like impulse buys :) . I want to be able to set the ride height on my 280z but did not want to spend a fortune as it will probably never see the track. I want adjustable damping so I can set it just as I want. A set of 200sx BC's came up cheap so I thought I'd have a play. I was going to get some sleeves made up to suit the 55mm 280z tubes but when I can buy the proper BD ones for under £33 each it was a no brainer. My current plan is to use the original 280z top mounts to add a little comfort but I'll keep the BC one's incase I want to cut them down to fit the zed.

Cool. Do keep us informed with pics - I'd like to see how it all comes together.

We had noticed re: the impulse buys... :D

I was considering the Ground Control coilover adjustable platform and spring kit with a set of Tokico Illuminas. http://www.ground-control-store.com/products/description.php/II=62
Seems like a fairly straightforward approach if u don't mind chopping ur strut assemblies yourself. There's a website here which details the work required: http://dirtys30.blogspot.co.uk/2011/04/how-to-240z-ground-control-coilovers-w.html?m=1 . This seems to have gone one step further by using shorter than standard shocks

I'm aware it ends up approaching the price of a set of Gaz non-adjustable after import etc, but u gain the adjustability of the Illuminas which get favourable review.

Has anyone any experience of this setup?
