Car has to be running, Boomer !

In fact maybe you've a point, if nobody else is interested we can be just selfish and enjoy it all ourselves !

I'm figuring though, that in the 1st country in Europe that consistently races Zs, there must be more that are interested in this !

So if someones comes up with a running car, whats the budget??
OK how longs a piece of string!!!

But entry fee 1200/1500 we know, anyone want to guess at the rest

petrol/tyres/spares etc etc

If we can put a package together then sell shares??
Just an idea!

Just need a driver then!

This car is setup for rally’s and races. They left for Spain for next week to drive Tour the Espaòa… so they are not afraid to go over borders……$$$$$$$$

Coincidently I phoned him yesterday and heard about it, I dropped the word Le Mans and he said;”that’s over two years”!!

When they come back I’ll visit them and have a chat about it……

Ok, sponsor or sponsors needed :

Who has good Nissan connections - this has to be good for them as this is THE French classic car event - bit like Goodwood but tasting of garlic washed down with red wine !

THis gets worldwide publicity and there are too many Porsches, and British 'sportscars' in this event !
Any Z car and parts suppliers interested as well ? What about Z clubs - there have to be some free passes going in the entry package !!!

Too good an opportunity to let go and only two years to organise it !

it's a Dutch made car and if I tell you the name it would not ring a bell;)

and about the Nissan sponsoring, please call Nissan France and find out if they are willing to sponsor. When my friends are coming back from spain it's so much easier to convince them!!!

That's one, can we make it two - would save some money for each entrant to have one team servicing two cars (and make it an International Z effort) !

I like the idea of shares, I'd be in to buy some! Maybe the shares can also buy some advertising space for the club on said car or something.

Very good idea, I'm hoping this could be made into an event involving all the major Z clubs and parts/cars suppliers - a united front !

Well, I believe it must be a 240 to qualify which would limit the entry date to no later than 1974, I know some skullduggery was done with a 260 but it would be difficult to persuade the selection board and only confuse the issue !
The car and team would be on standby for the 24 hours plus (I believe) some 'practice' time and perhaps parade laps beforehand.
The time allotted to each 'plateau' - age period eg 1969-1976 is to be for a set time period eg: 2 hours every eg: 6 hours, meaning the car would be running for about 8 hours in total spread over the period 16:00 Staurday until 16:00 Sunday !

Do you understand this ok ? All these details will, of course need to be thrashed out well beforehand;

I will add that I spoke to one of our club members who is a mechanic teacher (whose school has provided Renault Sport amongst others with race engineers etc) and he is up for providing 3 advanced level students as a support team for one or more cars plus furnishing loads of tools neceassary !

Sponsorship is a must here, coupled with great publicity obtained from a united Clubs effort !

Thanks for the input Grolls !

I am in for sponsorship: 1£
So far I am the biggest advertiser so I want my name in BIG on the car... and not under... nor inside...
