Rob - please put your video up on Youtube or "yousendit" to Sylvain for him to edit and put up ! I'd love to see it as would everybody else !

Suzy - sure, any Zs and ZXs can do it - was there a Celica 2000GT and Fairlady Roadster that ever participated in the 24hrs ? No but I got 'em in !

Yes Rob - they were parade laps but the safety car was going some - what slowed us down was all the wallyes breaking hard for (almost) flat out bends ! You chose to wear your crash hat - I don't know what Lee would have done if you'd flipped it........

What a caning we gave 'em all !:D

An L6 on song - better than a V8 ? Difficult to tell with LOUD GT40s but then some Astons and E-Types sounded pretty good too !

O.L.M ?

I'm still on a high after last weekend:D.

Anyway I found this interesting:

Datsun 240 Qualifying 6.02
Talbot 105 Qualifying 6.02
Mini Marcos Qualifying 6.09
GT40 Qualifying 4.31
GT40 Qualifying for 1966 race 3.30 (Dan Gurney)

So the Zed was the same speed as the race 1 winner (1920's car ). The best Mini Marcos was pretty quick really.

How much slower the track is than 1966 now with chicanes (1990) and additional corners. Now 8.453 miles

Qualifying for 2008 3.18 !!!

In a diesel !

The track has changed legnth several times over the years and with the changes to the Esses between Dunlop and Arnage, has gained a few hundred metres !

Nope, its still hanging down on the old estate car, you know the same one that had to stop at the side of the road to wait for you every half hour!!!!!

What I wanna know is who stole the 3 litres form your 3.1?:p

The commentary in the roadster was great, it sounded like that of Japanese fighter pilots!

That Roadster seemed to go good on the track, the driver did really well.

Your burn-up with the Porsche was captured nicely. Maybe Sean you need another camera, one facing the front and one facing the rear.

You're right - it would have been better to have had a rear view camera - I had a second one but couldn't get it to work so I lent my second camera mounting to the roadster.

I'd love to have seen the Porsches' footage 'cos we both had fun and it was close - each trying to spot the next gap opening !
