As you know, this is a FIA spec car and the organisers only accept cars with HTPs and are pretty thorough on their checking.

So you have Sumitomo MK63-20S 4-pot steel calipers and 276mm diameter vented disks on the front, yes?

Can you confirm what brake system is fitted to your car please?

James and myself got back about 8pm last night and I have to say that was a bloody fantastic weekend.

Big thank you to Sean for pulling together a great group of cars, good to finally get to meet you at last even if it was only fairly briefly.

The drive down with 2 Sam's, at times side by side on the Autoroute was a site, and we turned heads everywhere we went, with regularly hearing 'Wow' followed by 'ah, Deux...!!!'

And Saturday night on Porsche curves was the place to be with a load of Datsun enthusiasts watching Rob Croftons car, and thanks for the cold beer Kev, just don't tell the rest of my crowd ;)

Rather than get up at a stupid hour yesterday we decided to book a hotel in Caen and had a lovely late Sunday drive up the old RN through some lovely countryside and pretty villages.

This has to be the best car show in the world and book us in for 2018, Sean as we will definitely be back :driving::thumbs:

I has already - trying to collate photos now t hnaks - check in your email inbox.

But shouldn't you be working anyway ?:p

Lunchtime and trying to get back to normal by looking in on the forum anyway are you bidding on this rare item or not?
Great weekend with a well put together stand. A good display raises the profile of the Marque which in turn encourages more people to want to join the club and thereby raise more revenue for club funds, all concerned should be congratulated.

You are assuming I know what a sumitimo caliper looks like as I have no idea. They are definitely 4 pot with 2 pads and the discs are vented and solid (not drilled). The discs must be around 20mm thick. I can ask the guys in the workshop - one of the pots has ceased so I need to get it fixed for the end of the month. The calipers must be steel as they are starting to rust. Rears are drums. I use racing pads. Does this help at all? Sorry for my lack of technical knowledge.

I had a look they are definately 4 pot calipers but I didn't think they were the Sumitomo ones.
Hi Crofty watched you race and you were doing consistant 5.30sec laps, and yes it looked flat at the end of the straights, but the car looked good on the bends and on the brakes. Both myself and my son thought you did well to beat a few of the 911's.

Would like to thank Sean for organizing everything.
With the sun beating down we had a great time watched the group C/3/4/5/6 races and the quality of the cars on and off the track was great.

James and I had a great time and wished we had more time to chat but the racing was just too good!! was a pity we didn't get a chance to say goodbye etc.

Next time see you at SPA!!

Good to meet you Sean and JK in the flesh, have you sampled the Malbec yet? Lol

Crofty your car looked Ace, we were watching at the bends just before the pit straight, you were nibbling at a few of the 911's there, you need a louder exhaust though, those 935's were drowning you out! Lol

Yes, the lack of screw tops when you were perusing the vin in the Supermarche was interesting, only the singe NZ import that I spotted ;)

It was me

Did you like it?

I stopped at 2/3 of the bottle - I need more before I can give a considered opinion.:D

And they complain here about synthetic corks......! The thing is, people keep wine less and less - they buy it for almost immediate consumption so why bother with real corks....or corks at all ?

In our house the wine always lasts for the journey from the supermarket but it has been known not to make it to the fridge and shortly after the bottle ends up in the glass recycling bin.

The most wine we'd buy in one go is 12 bottles, 6 Red and 6 White, they'd be gone in 2 weeks easy so screw caps are fine with me :) cheers!
