Lakes/ West Yorks meets

Whilst I dont mind popping down the Cheshire a few times a year I think we have some good venues further up the M6.

As the weather continues to improve I am thinking of sorting a few meet out for this area. There are quite a few owners is this area now so we should be able to get some decent numbers.

I will probably avoid the central Lake District for obvious reasons but there are a lot of good driving roads with nice pubs that are still worth considering.

Its only a quick blast over the A66 for those in the North East too.

I live opposite the Rose and Crown in Cark in Cartmel, well actually I am usually in the R&C.,

There are a few in Kendal and I would expect to get about a dozen locals at a meet. I often feel left out up here.

I can find places away from the usual tourist routes so we will not be bogged down in the traffic. Some great driving roads too.

yep I am glad to here there is some activity local to me too, I live in Kendal and work in Coniston, so pass your door every day.

Now this is looking promising. Have you seen the white 350z in Kendal. There is also an 08 plate 350z but I havent managed to stalk him yet.

I will have a play with the dates. With the amount of shows coming up it may be difficult. It would be good to get something regular set up.

Does anyone do "The Cars The Star" show at Heaves Hotel near Sizergh, organised by Kirkby Lonsdale Motor Club, July 18th this year or Leighton Hall which is the week before, I am hoping to be at both!

OK. guys, time to firm things up.

We will be meeting here. Index of /cumbria/pub ... owerby.htm On May 5th for lunch and drinks. I will call the pub today to confirm they are open.

Its on Saturday June 5th. I will amend the title.

For those traveling from the south and west we can meet here for the drive up if you want. Its the services just south of J36 on the M6. I would suggest about 11-30. That will get us up to the pub in good time.

I just got my confirmation for the Heaves show on the 18th of July, did you manage to get in or is anyone else planning to come up - it's a lovely little show in a great location and right next door to the Lakes.
