I’m new to this site I have A 240z in a ford model B. Just rebuilding engine as we did a leak down test on no. 6 cylinder and we had a huge leak. Due to excessive valve guide wear.
We’ve worked it out as standard cam is .410liftWhat are you looking for from the cam/engine? is the current cam .430 lift and 320 duration?
I think .395 is about what the standard cam is, so doesn't sound very exciting.
other cylinders worst besides no. 6 was 10%I expect you have another problem besides the excessive valve guide wear. When a valve is closed the valve guide wear isn't going to affect compression or gas seal.
What were the other cylinders like re leak down test?
I’ve seen Newman cam specs on there 270 cam which says power band 2000 to 6000
