Don't know how he takes 5 hours though unless he is stopping off at every olde tea shoppe along the way?
On the day I drove from Chipping Campden which is far Northern Cotswolds to Castle Combe which is far Southern Cotswolds in less than an hour and a half.

Yes nice drive. Done it lots of times, early morning start. 2.5 hours from Hinckley, track day and then 2.5 hrs back.
