Mr Skiddlle I suggest you watch the video again before you come to a conculsion

1st Pass The car in front of me loses traction and nearly spins so I back off to avoid having a collision

2nd Pass There are TWO chequered flags at Castle Combe the first at Camp Corner and the second on the Start Finish straight . I backed off at Camp corner , Plus the group of cars in front had already slowed down , and I was catching them up quickly . So what was the point racing the last 100 yards to possibly cause an incident .
You must remember that most of the drivers in that session are inexperienced and not familiar with the track as you can see from their track placement and inability to look in their mirrors . That is apart of Track Days . If you were in my passenger seat you would understand .

Question :- How much traffic do you encounter on a drag strip ?

Excellent video J1mmytt....was that mr Francis in his F*rd V8 getting out dragged.....twice
...on his home track :D

Steve, I know you are only having a bit of banter but just to say that Mr Francis was in excellent form again. Him and his mate were a bundle of laughs all day and he was flying around in his 240. According to Lee (my lad) him and Jimmy had a great battle in the second session, did you watch the video right through? Notice how pleased Jimmy was to cross the finish line before Steve (says alot about the session) Oh I nearly forgot it's not a race is it? ;)

Edit: Steve F our posts crossed, you beat me to it again!

No conclusions here, just observations and as for drag strips getting traffic, that clearly doesnt happen (but you know that), never done track days me;) so I wouldnt have that depth of experiance......

It is surprising how a simple thing like letting kids (and some adults) sit in the car can give so much pleasure.

If you bring him down to gurston for a meeting I will get him into some single seaters if you want phil
