Got my 240 back into action after the PPC event so wont be out in the 350 - wife breathes a sigh of relief.

If you've not been to Japfest before here are a few 'pointers':

The police are very active in the area, especially after the event.

There will be a queue to get in, so allow for it.

For those on track remember helmet, long sleeves and trousers, driving licence.

Get noise tested in plenty of time to sort it if your car is too loud.

Go to a briefing (any briefing) ASAP and get it out of the way, otherwise time will run out.

If you've not driven at Castle Combe before take it easy on the first lap - there are no sighting laps!

I think it's going to be dry .

Great advice Rob! Guess I wont be collecting that track session after all... ;)

My Z is good to go on track, got the new wheels wrapped with R888's, fresh oil, and all fluids topped off. Just need to give her a wash and vaccum tomorrow and Japfest here I come!

Looks a bit evil.

My engine is in again and running OK see you all Saturday. Good job its going to be dry, after Mallory my tyres are abit low on tread. I have had the fronts turned on the rims so the low bit is now on the inside edge.

cheers marco what a cracking day that turned out to be.
more interest in the car than last year due to everyone having to walk past the stand to get to the rest of the show and 5 drive school sessions sold.

That was probably the best Z day out I have ever had. Well done Marco ( and team).

Great to meet all the owners as ever and it was fantastic to see the cars on the track.

That was awesome!Had a great day, mother nature provided perfect weather, and the Japfest orrganizers put on a really good show. Seeing the collection of cars on the two stands and the amount of traffic we atracted was incredible. The Zclub really was the center of attention and every member who attended demonstrated the great spirit this club is all about. The track time was my highlight of the day, amazing how much difference a good set of tyres can make!
I've been relating the days events and Steves kind words to Maria who sitting beside me now.
She says "Aw shucks, it was nuthin!. But, I'm not a diamond, I'm only a cubic zirconia at best. Thanks everyone, hope everyone had fun."
I've told her that since she did such a great job weve decided to let her take care of next year also. (she is not amused...) :D

What a great event! Many thanks to Maria, Mark and Steve. I think we did the Z Image a world of good today, Nissan should be proud of us.

There were so many aspects that made the day good for me:

Fantastic fun on track, a really good show of cars on BOTH stands, great company, sunny weather (a bonus at Japfest), trade stands including my new dream car the 370Z Limited Edition!

Highlight of the day - being well and truely thrashed by a lovely silver and black Z32 (sleeper) that car and driver were awesome. Pete Mac's driver was going some too. I'm so glad the Z32s put on a good show on track - long overdue, well done fellas

My Japfest was wrecked by a migraine. We arrived at Castle Comb about 19:30 on Friday had a meal at the Bell Yatton Keynell after which we went to our B&B which was 3 miles from the circuit. In the early hours of Saturday I woke with a severe migraine and I did not have my prescription medication with me, not that it would have rendered me fit to drive. We had a full English breakfast booked for 07:00 that Lin enjoyed whilst I was evacuating my evening meal down the toilet from the wrong end. I lay in bed for the next 3 hours with the cover keeping the light from my eyes listening to the persist drone of sports exhaust. By the time we left the drone had stopped the reason for this became evident as we turned out of the drive going away from the circuit. We passed miles of stationary cars all the way back to the M4 on the A429. This was the first time in 7 years Lin had driven my Nissan she always said she would never drive it. She had a few moments when she forgot the width of the back wheels but we arrived home safe. At which time I went to bed and have just got up feeling OK. Isn’t life shit at times?

Rob, I was wondering where you got to - assumed it was car trouble. What a shame for both of you! Perhaps next time eh?

A big Thanks and well done to Marco and his wife for managing probably the best Japfest ever.
The weather couldnt have been better, and our new pitch location was ideal, lots of interest from the crowds of people passing by, P.S could we have that same pitch for next year ?
As far as im aware everyone had a great day, Club spirit was high. well done to all.
