This is going to be banging Matt, I’m tempted to buy one of those kits as well…..maybe I could bring it back with me this year?

Will this be ready for Spa?
I hope so 🤞
They didn’t have the kits there, they sent on after

IMO that is a very good decision - I hope I influenced you. You have made good choices with this car which can only add to it's desirability.
Thanks Rob, It was always on the cards to change the back end, I just had to save up !!

They can do wonders now when matching paint. I took the filler flap off my 240 down to a local paint supplier (car was resprayed in a 110-like orange/red 20 years or so ago). I just wanted a tin of touch-up I could paint on with a brush for stone chips and the like. They found a 90s Dodge colour that was very similar.

My mate is a Painter, done apprenticeship back in 1976 and they matched paint by hand/eye so an old school painter shouldn’t have a problem matching the colour although a lot of things have changed over the years, machines still can’t do everything ( yet )
car is looking good

A spectrophotometer will be able to provide the initial component mix for the colour but may need a little fine tuning to perfect it after spraying samples.
