relative to budget - lol!

Sorry ...expensive relative to? In my experience, shipping from Japan is much cheaper when you compare to the other usual markets ( USA and Australia).

I mean where else outside the UK are you going to find a RHD example in decent nick?

I've thought about importing a Z31 but I'd be fussy about it... it would have to be an RB powered, two seater, slick top so I'd need someone on the ground there helping me find the right car.

Maybe one day.

why bother importing?,just buy leos 200zr its still for sale and is all those things you mention

LOL..so you would import one regardless of what it costs?:bow:

Now that's dedication ;)

If I decided I was going to go ahead and treat myself to (in my view) the ultimate Z... I would be prepared to pay whatever it cost, within reason. I don't feel bad spending money on cool cars / bikes when the average person thinks nothing of financing a £15,000+ shopping car that will be worth £500 in less than a decade.

Decent R32 GTRs are now £20,000+ and a super rare Z31 would be just as cool to own, if not cooler.

... so it's justifiable. :Z31:

I have been following this conversation so I jumped on the local craigslist to see what was out there. This looks pretty interesting. I'm a 240Z guy with several in my hands currently but always looking for clean cars. Here is the link and you can tell me what you mates think about it. Maybe it should go across the pond as prices and interests are soft here for this car.

Interesting, my 86 turbo is in that figure of 69 then. I wonder how these figures compare to original import figures.

rust is the killer!,oh and thats a great looking z31 you got there!!;)

Yes , I found this 300 just before I was going to start to rebuild my 85 Turbo. Very rusty it was, although nothing compared to my 260. Uneconomical to restore back then, so stripped and used as a parts car..
