Indicator stalk 'button'

Slowly going through the electrics on my 240Z (OKJ) trying to make sure everything works properly.
There's a button on the end of the indicator stalk - what is it for? Looked through several wiring diagrams but still clueless!
TIA

That's the flasher button. On most cars you would pull the stalk to flash someone but that turns your main beam on on a S30.

Push the button and you should see a blue light come on on your dash to show main beam.

Thanks for that.
Flasher eh?
Mine doesn't work then..... from the wiring diagrams it looks like the button might contact the 2 terminals internally in the stalk, making a circuit to the Hazard light switch which, somehow, 'flashes' the main beam.
More fun in store :)

Mick, have you worked out yet that these cars switch an earth (ground) to operate the headlights?

That 'threw' me for a while when I converted to modern light units.
