I’d second this. Also worth pointing out that the L26 is exactly the same block as an L24, just with the larger stroke crank and rods as per an L28. So, you’d be swapping a P30 block, E88 head engine for another P30/E88, just with less stroke. Not worth the effort. Worth noting a great many 240Zs have L28s in them - more torque and power potential.
Agree with Franky and Richie on this, unless you find the original match numbers block which the previous owner told me had been replaced many years ago, I would rebuild the L26 or find a good L28 and go with that. The engine numbers match is nice to have on a series 2 car but many have L28's by now. Series 1 cars are more coveted with matching engines and E31 heads.
