HS6 SU carb hose query

Hi

I am rebuilding my SU carbs and can't work out what the circled red hose connection is for/goes to on each carb.

The connection goes into the carb by the throttle disk. Looking at the Haynes manual it seems it might be the air fuel mixture hose that connects to the other carb and then goes to the slow running adjustment screw on the balance tube?

Would it be okay to remove these hoses and block the fitting off?

You’ll need to blank them off on some cars there connected to the engine breathers

Nice I'll blank them off, thank you for the advice.

Guessing this means I can blank off the slow running adjustment screw on the balance tube.
