Why has he started the auction at £900 yet stated he will only accept offers over £ 3000 ?
    Doesn't make sense.

Don't people sometimes just use the same copy in adverts in several places? Changing words is soo hard

Shit-cheap exhaust manifold and OEM pulley which is hardly what Dave would have fitted !

When you set a reserve fee you pay 4% of that reserve up front to ebay. He is letting people know his reserve without formally setting a reserve ?

I have just some a Porsche that was on ebay and I advertise on there with no reserve and a starting price of about half what I expect it's value to be. The Porsche sold for over the starting price but probably less than it is worth but I needed it gone so I'm happy.

I looked at this engine and considered it a bargain at £900. Then I noticed how much he wanted for it so was put off.

Its not just the engine, just the need for 3+ ebay accounts?

So why not just start the auction at £3k ? That costs nothing.
