How long have you had your Zed?

Hallo one and all - I was going to post this under Z32s but then I thought why should I keep all the fun to myself!

I've had my 300ZX Z32 for 3 years and 1 month. (And can't see any reason to change.) Which got me curious - I'm sure some club members fell in love with theirs and have kept it for years while others buy different models for loads of reasons.

So the question here is how long have you had yours? What model is it?

If you want to add other info like why you bought it / or sold it / what you want next etc etc, feel free.

I ve had my silver 240 for about 18 years, we'll actually my dad had it before me but he sold it over to me, so it's been in the family for that amount of time, I can never see me selling her now she's my other wife, but probably cost's me more Doh.

I Brought my 1981 280ZX 2 seater back in 1990, and have still got it, even though it has cost me a small fortune to rebuild and fit a body kit to the car, along with some engine mods. It was one of my local firms MD's company car. I also have owned a 1984 300ZXT(Z31) since 1996.

Wanted a Z as long as I can remember. Used this excuse when hauled up in front of the head master at grammar school for working part time.

Bought my 260Z 2+2 in 1993, my 240Z in 2000 and my 300ZX Z32 in 1998. Love 'em all and wouldn't sell any, except maybe the 300ZX when (not if) I get my 350Z

hi all bought my first 240z for £100 in 1992. Bought the second 240z (ex dutch racecar ) in 1997. No amount of money could make me part with either car. Both cars will be back out hillclimbing next season.

Hi everyone,

I bought my first Z32 (an automatic UK TT) a year ago, although I've just sold this to make way for the manual Z32 that I bought about 4 months ago. The car is everything I expected of something that's been an object of desire since I first saw one in 1989! Had previously owned a 260 2+2 and a 280 2 seater in the early nineties for a couple of years.

I've loved all z's though, since I first saw one in about 1974 at the age of 3. They're all beautiful in their own way. Would love to get a 240 or 2-seater 260 as a weekend car. Not too mention a 350 when they arrive here.

Cheers.

Just had to check my V5. Bloody hell I've owned my 260 for 7 years !!
Never "always wanted" or ever "dreamed of owning" one. Just fancied something different from everyone else. I guess it's an expression of my individuality.
Used to drool over Dodge Chargers and Chevy Camero's when I was younger, but the reality of owning a gas guzzling yank tank on our small roads was a bit off putting.
The 240/260 was a suggestion from a mate, who drove (and still does) a '77 Celica GT liftback, and that's how I came to own one.
What I didn't realise at the time, was how good the car really is for something that's over 20 years old. Ok, so it's not the fastest thing on the road (yet), but they are so tunable. The handling I think is it's forte, I'll take on anything, and usually leave them in my wake. The car has given me an enormous amount of pleasure over the years, and I am sure it will for many more years to come.
People ask me what I'll own next, and I think I can honestly say that it will never be replaced. This is one Zed you'll never find here

Owned my 240 for nearly 13 years and much like the rest of you guys I would not part with her for love nor money. She has cost me fortune in upgrades and repairs over the years, but no other car I have owned has given me so much pleasure.
I like the look of concern on the faces of owners of modern machinery as they try to comrehend why a nearly 30 year old car can go faster than their car.

Had my 1st Z's, 2+2 260's, back in the 80's (ROX 3M & WHN 995S). Was hooked then but couldn't afford to get them through their next MOT's. Bought current Z, a 260 2 seater (HNW 215T) as a restoration project about 5 years ago. Still working on it. See more at www.martin-mills.co.uk

I own a 280ZX 2 seater which I have had for 16 months and its gold with 18in alloys Californian body kit and black interior it will be turbo charged shortly and I love it to bits we also have a 300ZXTT that we have had for 8 years and a 240z Super samuri that we have had for 3 years plus another 8 Z's that we own
