Great stuff Derrick! Fabrication from scratch and then being able to stand back and see the result is very satisfying IMO. Some of the stuff I'm most proud of on Project Dixie are repairs or additions where I had to make parts from scratch. Now that work is all done, I quite miss it. Will need future projects to flex those muscles on!

Small update although it’s been a lot of work to get it right pretty pleased with how it’s turned out.

Inner wing repaired and new chassis rail welded in 🤓
Just needs a little hammer and dolly work but only a little 😀

Good work Derrick and an important area of the car.

I'm intrigued by the chassis legs at the front. Don't they normally narrow to fit around the radiator?

Well spotted Rob ,your right the ends of the chassis are normally slimmer on the end which might be something I have to do will see when I trial fit the rad support panel along with the radiator 🤔no big deal if they need to be slimmer 🤓

Just a couple of hour done today Well Rob G confirmed my initial thoughts the chassis rails do need some reshaping on the ends as the radiator doesn’t fit about 6mm to tight .😬
So I’ve now sorted 1 side the side to do 🤓

Well that’s the second chassis rail made narrower to allow the radiator to fit 🤓

Trial fit of the new rad support crossmember and it fits perfectly :party:also spoke to Andy yesterday about making the rest of the rad support panel , he suggested I have it in kit for and weld it together myself as the car may not be straight and a made up panel may not fit😬

So last night took these measurements and done a sketch to check my measurements I have😬
And he has confirmed my measurements to be the same as what he uses to make the complete panel so he is now going ahead and making it for me so should just slot in so that great news my measurements matches his result 😎🤓
