So here’s 1 of the 2 280z doors that I’ve brought for my 260z the are exactly the same so was really lucky to come by them as they’ve been sitting in someone’s loft for the last 20 years and originally came from California 😎
As you can see I’ve taken the door skin off so it can be derusted not to bad for a 40 year old door 🤓

Now all epoxy primed and read for the door skin to be fitted once I get it back from the blasters only having the outside edges blasted on the skin as I don’t want to risk it warping or stretching ,Also no repairs to do as the frame is completely solid hiope the other ones the same will see on Wednesday 🤞

Thats a nice solid, clean and rust free door. You did well with that. Shouldn't have to worry about your doors in the future then

So tonight I decided I’d better try some of the front panels on while I wait to get my door skin and passenger door back from the blasters as I want to get the doors bolted back on the car before tackling the rear 3/4 panels 😬
Was pretty happy with how they fit but will probably need a little more adjustment once I get the bonnet hinges back from the blasters and bolted on the car 🤓

Almost looks like a z again put a smile on my face EXTRA:D

Driver’s side door reskinned tonight went really well applied a panel bond/sealer around the edges and a thick line in the middle of the door shell so it binds to the inside of the door skin to prevent door skin clatter when the door is slammed shut all edges of door skin completely sealed 😎

Good to see consistent progress. I know it takes effort to do so because life can be so busy even without projects involved.
