Finished wrapping the Z story header,
I was looking at ceramic coating, with delays I really want to run the car from April time.

Also whilst it looks tidy, I think the wrapping will give a better heat reduction in the engine bay.

That looks superb
What wrap did you use ? I've ordered Lava from opieoils based on recommendation

Has anyone tried to do this with the headers connected to the car ?? That's my plan (feels like a load of cursing cut hands !)

I did mine on the car, it doesn't look anywhere near as good as @M-j-b 's work. But it did help me spot that I shouldn't wrap all the way to the flange because there's not enough clearance to the inlet manifold on mine.

I used Pitking, only based on reviews though.

I found it a good thickness and flexibility to allow the tight corners to be a little easier to not have saggy bits.

From my recent experience I wouldn't want to do it attached to the block. I used a lot of swears as it was on a carpet in the lounge....
And your back will hurt A LOT...!

I didnt think the thickness would stop the intake, so I havent allowed for that.
Was it the physical pipe to intake? Or the fixing points at the gasket?

I'll be checking on Sunday, will report back 👍🏼

it was pipe to pipe. My inlet manifold has some ribbing that is very close to the exhaust (well, in my memory....)
