If you use a crows footed socket you can use your torque wrench.

George, Is that what's covered in the video/slides you linked in the other thread? (It's blocked on my network, so just checking its worth unblocking!)

Yes, I followed that tutorial and read up on it in the FSM.

It's a very satisfying job to do, and as long as you take your time and double check the gaps it's fairly easy. When you use the correct size feeler gauge, you want to feel a slight drag as put it in and out, the best way it was put to me was putting a hot knife into butter.

ah, ok. it's only helping torque the lock nut up :) you still need 3 hands. oh well!
