Nice looking car. Congratulations.

If you were thinking of swapping the transmission, did you consider finding a gearbox & other bits in the US? They are probably easier & cheaper to get hold of over there and it would have saved you the import duties if you had put them in the car/container & shipped at the same time. You probably know already but it is a fair few parts needed to do the conversion - Gearbox, Gearstick & gaiter, Clutch pedal, Clutch kit, Slave cylinder & connections, Master Cylinder, to name a few. Not cheap but has to be done in my view - an auto is not the same driving experience. I think they did one on WD.

I am hoping to use Robbie J's 2+2 gearbox after I have done a engine and box transplant in his car. The other parts I will need to source. Will be making a list on Monday when I see the car for the first time. Not seen the wheeler dealers episode yet!

mine is still on the docks, hoping to get on the boat soon... Hallie's car was a week later getting to the docks than mine...annoyed is an understatement

So somebody picked up a green car today... mine has made it on a boat at last heading to the canal, when it arrives (if it does not fall off the boat) I will be in the USA... typical
