Goodwood Breakfast club - March 6,2011

Just had a look on the website and it requires registration to be on the grid. Has anyone registered yet? This will be my first time to the breakfast club so I'm not sure how it works! Or do you just turn up and park in the public car park?

Registration is not stricly neccesary, it's only used to give the organizers an idea of numbers. The marshalls selct the cars for the grid on the day. If your the first 240 through the gate it is very likely you will be directed to the grid. If your car is special at all you will be sent to the paddock to park, but if you show up in a Volvo (or one of 100 Porsches) you will be sent to general parking.

Hey, I'll be there, but no Z as its starting its resto this year. Maybe I'll be there with my son and his MG if he gets it finished :smash:

I'll come and find you for a burger & tea.

If you get there by 8:30, and not a car of the day & have a classic, you can park at the entrance (space permitting), otherwise your directed to plebs in a field! :(

Its a good half day, and usually there's some tasty/rare auto's

You really are taking this whole Jag ownership seriously aren't you!!

And surely, as a Jag driver, your arms should be occupied holding a golf bag (not an umbrella), and on your hat should be a flat cap??? :)

Saw a Jag golf club bag on ebay the other day, was thinking of getting for meets.
Not to put clubs in but to carry my cans around

Get a little motorised one.. Drive it from your tent, to your seat, and then back to your tent..

Tempting idea... Have to think about that one... Would almost be like bringing the wife with me, but without the nagging!!

I notice that they are offering parade laps of the circuit this year for £15 x 2 laps. not cheap but interesting and open to all cars. copied from their e-mail below.

Parade Laps at Breakfast Club
Goodwood Breakfast Club is excited to announce that this year we will be running Parade Laps at certain Breakfast Club meetings. We are launching the Parade Laps experience at this Sunday's Breakfast Club so don't miss out!

Visitors to Breakfast Club will now be able to drive in the tyre tracks of some of motor racing’s greatest heroes, taking in two laps of the Goodwood Motor Circuit. Please note that this opportunity is open to ALL vehicles on the day and not just those that apply to this month's theme.

To book your place, please visit the team who will be found in the Jackie Stewart Pavilion on the day. The cost is only £15 for two fantastic and memorable laps of the motor circuit. Places will be limited, so come and see us early on Sunday to avoid disappointment.
