Polish!.... surely you jest young man?! don't want to remove any of that 'thrashed to within an inch of its life' patina ;)

Went past your place last Saturday, on the way back from taking part in 'ToughMudder' saw the car with its nose in the garage, didn't clock any tool or parts paraphernalia strewn around, so assume, no pass that day! :(

Looking good buddy!!!

You survived then!?

When you say the other day, it probably was either when I finished with exhaust or the day after having had a test drive ;)

I think my makeshift garage extension needs a new tarp :s

Then again it was only supposed to be up for 5 weeks - so a year later I can't really complain!

Looking forward to seeing you gents tomorrow.

For those meeting at 09:00 I have a modest but special gift. So make sure you make it.

If you pm me your mobile number, I will set up a WhatsApp group.

Is young Woodrow healthy again and coming!?

I'll be there, already down at the Witterings tonight :) Not 100% but on the road to recovery and been desperate to get out of the house! Roads appear to be drying now after my drive down in the rain... You should already have my number.

Behind the wheel of a Midship 4 pot Turbo rather than the Z but I'll see you at 9am.

Great morning to all that made it.
I think I counted something like 14 z’s and a couple of zx’s.

Nice to put a face to a name with woodie, Harvey, and a really smart dressed Ali! Hope u all got back ok esp Ali with his fuelling issues. Mine ran good given the fueling probs I’ve experienced recently. Bring on the next one!!

Regards Luke

It was great to see and talk to so many Z owners this morning and put names to faces in certain cases :D

I spent most of my morning socialising with various different people so ended up actually missing a lot of the cars but its all about the people at the end of the day. The weather was fantastic albeit a little cold, dare I say it though the S30 was common as muck this morning! I've not seen so many outside of the Donington Historic in the UK.

Somewhat of a shame my Z wasn't there but I was just grateful to have made my first trip out of the house in two weeks now that I'm on the mend. I hope you got back alight in the end Ali, sounded like your fueling dramas were ongoing :(

Looking at the facebook photos was the samuri car an MZR car, judging from the wheels in the photo?

Gents,

A fantastic day was made by seeing you all and meeting some new people too!!!

A cold cold day but the Z club spirit soon warmed us up - I did watch a young lad warming his hands when I popped the bonnet!

Please upload your photos here and I will try to make a feature of it for the front page on my commute this week.

A HUGE thanks again to Paul who spent quite some time sorting out my misbehaving carbs and the car went SOOOOO much better afterwards and used a quarter of the fuel it took to get to Goodwood! Even my buddy Ben exclaimed "my God it pulls like @$%#"!!!! Now I definitely should do those valve clearances - again!

V. Kind of you to stop on the side of the road woody - we had leaned her off a little too far (2.5 turns) and I was getting running on when turning the engine off and hesitation at large revs. I was richening up and it went about three quarters of a turn before being happy again. As Paul said I need to look at that rear carb - I suspect he is right that the choke may be a little tight.

Paul, even my youngest thought you were clever!

Some stunning cars there today and photos below.

BTW did anyone spot the Goodwood estate blocking the exit and giving the burnout boys a very hard time?!? Hardly surprising given the amount of smoke they created - I was sure it was a car on fire!!!!

Thanks all again for making it a brilliant day and my last proper meet up of the year before hibernation and looking forward to seeing you all again socially or otherwise!

My pleasure buddy! Thats what being in a club is all about. As much for meeting & helping people as owning the car. I'm glad it worked to a point. I spent quite a bit of time on mine before I was completely happy so it may take you a while & quite a bit of tinkering. I have a few pics & will post them up when i have downloaded them.

Also good to meet a few familiar faces again and some unfamiliar ones. Quite a few zeds there that I hadn't seen before. Really enjoyed the day & my car had a really good run without missing a beat.

Nice to see Japanese cars given some big exposure at Goodwood but only fitting since we held our first Japanese sportscar day there, hosted by The Z Club 26years ago when we used to hire the track for a grand a day !

Completely restored by MZR - probably the very last customer car taken in as they're concentrating only on their own cars now and perhaps also because the boss has a soft-spot for Samuris.
