Fresh Air Vents and Intercooler

Question for the guys who have fitted intercoolers through the obvious holes in the radiator support panel.

What have you done with the fresh air vents? Added different ducting to retain it or filled the cavity with rust preventative treatment and plugged it up? If you plug it up I suppose you'd just be relying on the heater on cold to pump in fresh air.

I wouldn't bother plugging them up. People use those rad support holes for various different purposes - intercooler, cold air intake pipework, etc. Just leave the engine bay openings open. They stay pretty dry anyway - in fact probably more so when they aren't vented to a plastic tube that intakes from behind the grille! You could put wax in there whether connected or not. Might get a bit pong-y in the cabin when in use though!
