Flexi fuel lines at the tank.

When I first got the car the smell of fuel was terrible when I tanked it up.
Took it to my local garage who does my Mots and he let me put it up on the ramp.
We found no signs of fluid anywhere, the lad was as surprised as me due to the smell.
Anyway it has taken a while to run the fuel out of the tank so I coukd drop it.
With the tank out there was still no sign of fuel do I've replaced everything flexi as well as the metal breather pipe.
Not sure which was at fault but today when I tanked it up there was no smell at all 😁

Changed the diff oil while I was on. Thanks Huw for the advice on grade of oil.
Diff seems a lot quieter now. Not that it was excessively noisy anyway. Just there in the background.
Pic is of the old hoses.

The mechanic I'm working with advised me to get rid of all the fuel pipes with old braiding mesh over them as a matter of course.
