Think you will get away with a repair, the clear lenses are stupid money,I’ve got a set and I’ve just put new complete units with clear lenses on and as I said before I’ve got to the stage where the insurance is so high now I’ll just get loadsa money and keep the wreckage if anything happens hence I’m selling some bits off

A good tip is to replace the screws/ bolts with stainless steel items , so you never get the problem of rust expanding the size and breakage/seizing up again ,
its what i do with my Z's
Good call, especially if your Z lives outside.

Cleaned the housing, rubber and lenses up nicely earlier. I gave everything a good scrub and used some 2400 grit for any light scuffs and some back to black worked rather well to bring the shine of the lenses back.

I bought some 2 part Araldite as recommended. My plan is to get everything as tidy as possible before throwing some araldite around the broken bits, bolting together where the threads are fine, and lightly using self tappers in the areas which are broken until they just bite.

I don't plan on disassembling once completed so provided all is good, it should hold together nicely.

I will also need to cut some metal or plastic to shape to create a new holder for one of the bulbs which seems to have broken away over the years.

Pics tomorrow - too tired right now!
