Fitting a 240z head on an early 260z?

Hi guys , I am wanting a bit of advise,
I have an early 260z with a knocking cam , and last year bought a e88 shaved head 0.30 with new valve train fitted but off a 240z from Mike b ,
I have a decent A grind cam ,
I'm thinking of buying a new timing chain kit and head bolt set ,
Maybe new water pump ,
I have a full gasket set , but don't know if the head gasket is thick enough
Will I need cam tower shims?
is a 240z head basically the same as an early 260 head?
And will I notice the difference in cams fitting an a grind cam instead of a c grind?
I have also got a different wider exhaust exhaust system and 6 branch header that I acquired off jonbills that I am wanting to fit
Will this combo be ok?
is there anything else I might need while I am at it
Any advise welcome
Cheers Jason

I've just looked at the message I got when buying the head it says it has new std valves fitted and it has comp valve springs fitted ,ports have been cleaned and it was assembled by someone who tunes heads
Also that it has been shaved by 40 thou

So thats a 1mm skim which is quite a lot, will make your chamber volumes about 36cc. Same as my e88 head, which will be good on a 2.6. Without doing the sums that'll be about 10.5:1 and you might well notice it being more spritely. But ... you may need cam tower shims. Not sure the std chain tensioner can handle 1mm.
