These 240Z style bumpers are a popular choice to replace the larger late model Datsun 260Z / 280Z bumpers. These lightweight fiberglass bumpers are the same size as original Datsun 240Z 70-72 bumpers, and fit close to the body like them as well for a great look! There is no provision for the rubber strips or bumper guards. The bumpers come in a flat rough finish so ideally would have to be painted before being installed on the car.
These bumpers are not a direct bolt on. For 73 240Z's to early 74 260Z's the existing brackets will have to be modified to allow for installation.
For later cars, 09/74 onward 260Z’s and 75-78 280Z’s custom made front & rear conversion brackets to allow for installation of the bumpers are included in the sale.
These custom made brackets are designed specifically to allow the lightweight bumpers to directly bolt on to your late 260Z or 280Z. These brackets are made of lighter weight Stainless Steel to go with the lighter bumpers. Includes left & right and front & rear brackets together with hardware to attach the brackets to the body and hardware to mount the bumpers to the brackets. These brackets will bolt directly on 9/74-76 models. 77-78 models have a different mounting bolt pattern on the rear passenger side & therefore you will need to drill one hole on the rear passenger side in order to install that bracket.
The bumpers and brackets have never been installed on a car. Due to the size of the bumpers they must be collected in person.
