To get you in the mood, here was my prevision sent to my cloggie friend (before any free testing took place on the circuit) and his also;
Mine -
Schumie
Button
Rubens
Kimi
Alonso
Coulthard
Trulli
Webber

His -
Alonso
Schumi
Button
Kimi
Coulthard
Rubens
Trulli
Fisichella

Notice how the Williams have dropped from favour and the last points seem to be shared between Sauber and Jaguar (I think Webber could really be great !).
Remember, 5 points for the correct place, 1 point for finishing in the top eight.

Hi Sean,
I seem to prefer the cloggies prevision more than yours except that Trulli could well be further up the results. Let´s see what happens.
I´ve had a really mispent youth, we´ll catch up on that when we eventually get together.
Regards

I watched the first half hour of the Hungarian Gp. Apart from our boy´s ( Alonso ) start & the Ferrari´s fuel wala´s problems the rest was as interesting as watching paint dry !!!!!!! So I went down to the garage to continue stripping paint of the Silvia.
F1 really has to evolve or at least 1 twit in Spain won´t bother to tune in.

At least the commentators and hopefully people at the FIA recognise that it's just a parade. The fuel pump problem was the most interesting part I agree.

I have officially stopped watching F1 now, I'm interested to see how Jensen does and the results at the end of the season, but for now I'll be watching Formula Woman (absolutely hilarious to watch, it's banger racing, no offence of course as they can drive better than me), Touring cars and WRC (both on this Sunday).

Anyway if you haven't done so before, watch British Superbikes, World Superbikes and Motogp... now that is racing

I taped it, so I could fast forward through the ads. and 'parades' ! I think the fast forward tape lasted 28 minutes !

At least you have commentators that know something, over here, I could clearly see the fuel lines off and ours said, aah, Ferraris coming in the re-fuel, probably going to make a 4th stop like the last race !

You have to admit, you watch racing abroad and generally the tv director is watching something totally unimportant, like the guy circling at the front when theres lots of action for 2nd place...

We have it pretty good here in those respects :)

right as for schuey

the whole team are responsible for getting ferrari back on top (was a long time coming) but it was not done by mr michael all by himself , as a driver he can relate the cars behaviour and what he wants it to do. its the technicians talent that makes it happen even if schuey could tell them what to do hes not doin it himself,so therefore he is the pilot/driver not the highly skilled race technician who in plural should never have the limelight taken from them cause without them there isnt any team and all forms of motor sport would never have progressed to where they are today.
a good driver can drive a bad car
and
a good car can make a bad driver look better
but
a good driver in a good car nuff said

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the compliments !!!
I think my favorite drivers to be with have been Jordi Gené & Luis Perez Sala. They both should have got into F1 but to be a Spanish driver in the 1980´s wasn´t to favourable. I´ve done 2 x 24 hour races with them over here & they are true pros behind the wheel but interestingly enough we did virtually the same fastest lap times though at diferent sections of the races. Just as an aside these 2 successfully campaigned R32 Skyline GTRs here in Spain in ´89 & ´90 & won everything. In ´91 they ruled out the Skylines & the Touring car class has been dead as a dodo ever since.

hi simon
re R 32 i am not at all surprised there seems to be to much of if its too good ban it

maybe F1 should do that or limit money spent by teams yearly

my daily driver is an R30 skyline RS turbo dohc the quick one probably the only one in europe
ive got a couple of skyline racing videos one is with R32s racing at bathurst mm total dominance
the other a touring car championship race with an R 31 factory car driven by another fantastic driver a man which i had the privaledge to meet Mr Win Percy in the video against the 500BHP andy rouse cosworth win took the lead later after driver change and a squirmy set of tyres the skyline dropped of the tyres were behaving as if they were flat.
anyhow are you driving anything on track this year?

Hi Steve,

I agree about you comments about an R32 GTR so much so that I´ve just bought one !!!!!! Should be here late next week.

This year motorsport has been seriously lacking, I´ve been doing some track days, a couple of local kart events & I´ve been doing the Catalan 4x4 trial championship. & will probably be going to Libya before Xmas just to make sure that my Toyota Hilux is up to it !!!

Win Percy is a great guy, he was very fast but made it look so easy. I remember as a kid watching him & "Big Sam". Wonderful stuff. It´s a shame our medical knowledge is not as advanced as on the USS Enterprise.

What are the titles of the videos that you mentioned ? I´m sure I can find an excuse to give myself another early xmas present !

Symon, I'm seriously beginning to have trouble liking you with all this fabulous machinery drifting off southwards ! R32 in my second favourite colour too (dark grey is my preference). How will you get the car and the Silvia imported ? Here in France, if the car was never officially imported - it's a dead dog !

Didn't 'they' ban the Skyline everywhere, including Bathurst when it kept winning , Don't see 'em doing that to Ferrari huh ?

When the Skylines were at Le Mans, they had to be placed in the GT1 category instead of GT/GTS and therefore were up against McLaren F1s and prototypes - no chance !

Hi Sean,
You´ll have to stop saying in public that you like me, people will start talking about us !!!!!!!
I was looking for a Skyline in Gunmetal Gray but Albrecht recommend this car to me & the rest is history.
I´ve got no problems getting the cars imported. For the Silvia I could register as a Historic Vehicle, but limits the use of the car to car club events. I shall register as a normal vehicle after having taken out a single car type approval in Madrid. I can probably get the Skyline registered due to change of residence !!!! I know that I´ve been here for over 10 years & just bought the car but the engineer who has to sign the papers is a good customer of mine so I should be able to sway him by buying him lunch & offering him a ride around the circuit !
I know that they banned the Skyline everywhere but as the will be freshly registered in Spain it would actually qualify for the 6, 12 & 24 races here in Spain. That´s seriously worth considering
