Looks like I wasn't the only one who f***** up and put Raikkonen in for a top ten finish:(

Ooops been too busy to keep up with the news. Only found out today.

What has happened in the past is that the replacement counts as the replaced driver - is that still the case?

Had it been a last minute retirement (ie, after the prediction cut off), then I would say yes, but this has been looking likely to happen since the last race (which he only decided to compete in late on).

It was in the news before Abu Dahbi that he said he would likely boycott the last two races and it was made official on Monday so I think everyone has had plenty of time on this one.

Dale, the last I read he had agreed a deal with Lotus that ensured a full season and this latest issue is due to back surgery:

'Raikkonen pulled out of this weekend's United States Grand Prix and the finale in Brazil to undergo back surgery to cure a long-standing problem.'

If you had been as busy as me on Wed getting ready for the NEC then you you would understand a hasty prediction without looking at the internet.

If I allow you to replace Raikkonen with Kovalainen and he was to finish in the top ten, then you may score more points than the people who were following the F1 news closer and chose not to select Raikkonen as result.

By the looks of it, Kovalainen has a very good change of finishing in the top ten. If that's the case it will knock of a driver from each of the people's predictions who didn't select Raikkonen so I think everyone is still pretty even.

Predictions stand I'm afraid.
