Engine lifting eye

Hi, I was trying to lift my 280z engine and unfortunately the engine lift eye on the car snapped as the engine crane started to take the weight.

Can I use a lifting eye from another car what is thicker and handle the weight ok but will only be able to bolt onto one of the existing engine lifting hole bolt locations?
Or does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement?
Has anyone ever came across the same issue and if so how was it resolved?

I lift my engine with ratchet straps all the way round it.

I lifted mine with the brackets of the load leveller using holes in the had for manifold bolts and a spare hole that happened to be on the head.

For good measure, like Jon, I put ratchet straps all round and at a later stage found they could easily have held the weight on their own.

had one bolted in a hole in the passenger side of the block towards the front and the other was in the top bolt hole for the gearbox on the drivers side

i took the gearbox out first as it made getting the engine out that bit easier to lift straight out and not whack anything
