How/where will it be listed though? The seller’s going to have to backtrack a lot to explain the ‘new’ revelations - you’d like to think anyone spending that much on a car would be exercising due diligence …

Hopefully by advertising it as the car it (likely) is - an imported Datsun 240z converted from LHD to RHD and 'restored' by the company selling it.

Correct
Both have been discussed in previous posts. 1st Choice sports and prestige cars based on Faringdon

Obviously hes a totally trustworthy type.

Is that the type that would work to bid up an auction to try and get 'their price'. then to arrive and say they'd take the final bid with the auction fees on top?

Not saying that did happen. It would make sense of the strong auction bidding..........

Currently standing at £17250 with collectingcars.com, with a slightly altered description and story. Now originally LHD. Auction ends Monday. I personally think it's a nice car and should fetch £30k?

Lol. It did actually reach £30k but the reserve wasn't reached so didn't sell.

Would have cost the buyer £32160 with the fees.

On Carandclassic still for £50k
Prices of ‘complete’ cars have definitely taken a hit in last 6 months just as cost of restoring has gone up!
