Mustang has moved on so back to the ZED today.
The new re-pop door cards from Hung Vu on FB are pretty nice looking but they are not plug and play. Needed moved the clip holes on almost every one to line up with the holes in the door for clip attachment. I ended up using some of the Q-Bond to secure the clips on the back of the door cards and after a few hours of on and off I was able to get it all lined up.
Turned out a treat and I'm happy with it. Now I need to do the other side.
BTW i used a shower curtain and the 3M adhesive strips for a moisture barrier behind the door cards.

Looks great Mike. I hope the Hung Vu cards are more plug and play for the 280!

Good stuff Mike. It’s annoying that the cards don’t come with them in the right place but such is life! They’ll fit much better now you’ve adjusted them …

Are the cards only available for different doors?
Hung Vu said that they were 240 door cards and I noticed that the door handle cut outs are correct for the 240 and not the 280. I have a second set brand new in the box so I will see if I have problems on the next car too.

It has been several months so time for an update on the 72 110 Red Zed.

I had some rust bubbling on the driver's side dog leg and on the slam panel under the rear hatch.

I took the Zed to my shop and had my mate grind down the rust areas and cut out the bad metal. My mate fabricated some new metal patch panels for the dog leg and for the slam panel. Lucky that the dog let only needed a 2" BY 6" piece replaced. The slam panel had 2 areas that needed metal replaced and both were about 2" by 2" so i was lucky.

Previous owner had painted the rear tail light surrounds black in color which had always bothered me so I re-painted those with some Dulpi-color wheel paint HWP102 Graphite.

After some final tidy up of the rear end area, I am back to round 2 of valve lash adjustment as round 1 still left me with a little noise in the valve train.

Finally about finished with the Cali Punt Zed that i have had for about 4 years.
Pictures now submitted to BAT and waiting for them to respond with a reserve they feel is appropriate given the information I submitted.
Numbers match engine, 4 speed, with factory working radio and antenna.
Some pics of the final product which I would say is a nice rust free driver quality car, not a show car by any means but a car that can be driven.
