Door Trim

Hi,
What is the best way to fix on the lower plastic door trim (strip) on 280ZX (82)? , what to adhere it with and how to keep it in place if using adhesive?

I have some 3M trim/emblem adhesive, but the strip is quite heavy. Thought I'd seek the groups experience

Bit late to the party here but I recently recovered my whole door in black leather.

Very clean look similar to the Skillard door cards.

Cleaned up the backing and sprayed adhesive and she sticks like a beaut.
Have also stapled the edges.

Very easy and looks good.

Sounds neat. My question was about the external plastic strips. I used strong double sided tape in the end. It worked well, but I did spend ages cleaning both surfaces. The strip is surprisingly heavy.
