I am pleased to announce that there will be a club stand at Donington again this year during their Historic Festival.
The dates for your diary are Fri 1 May, Sat 2 May and Sun 3 May.
Jonathan Kinghorn has organised this very successful and well attended event for many years, however he is having a well deserved break from it and I am 'picking it up'. Jonathan owned a Samuri and his original idea was to organise an event and attract as many Samuris as possible. This gathered pace over the years culminating in a fantastic 'turn out' last year - even though Jonathan had sold his Samuri to me.
However the event wasn't exclusively for Samuris, indeed the 'best car' award last year went to a standard 260Z.
This year we are not marketing the event as the 'Samuri Gathering' it will be a Z Club meet with other invited Clubs attending as before e.g. The Z Register. Hopefully this will avoid confusion as to who is the organising club and what cars/owners it is aimed at i.e. all Zs and ZXs.
The main 'show' days will be the Saturday and Sunday but hopefully our tent will be erected on the Friday.
I don't know where 'our stand' will be situated but I do realise that the location never suits everyone and it has been a matter of discussion each year. We need to be central to the racing, close to other Clubs, easy to reach for visitors and not at the end of a 'farm track'.
Please try and make this one and put the dates in your diary. For those travelling a long way and staying in the area overnight I'm led to believe that a good time is had by all!

Ticketing:
Here is the booking information your members will need - please note that the booking system is slightly different to previous years.
TO ORDER ONLINE IF YOU ARE BRINGING A DISPLAY CAR
1) Go to: Go to: www.msv.com/DHFdisplay
2) Select our club from the list shown and click on its name. If you already have an MSV account, login. Otherwise, create an account.
3) You’ll then be presented with a page showing the conditions for displaying a vehicle - click the box at the bottom to say that you agree, then you’ll be taken to a page that asks ‘who are you displaying with?’ Select ‘With a club’ then select our club name from the list that appears and press ‘Continue’
4) Select the day or days that you wish to attend and press ‘Continue’
5) CAR DETAILS: Add the details of the vehicle/s you will be bringing* to display on the club stand.
6) TICKET SELECTION: Follow the process through to ticket selection. IMPORTANT - the online club ordering system automatically puts one adult driver entry ticket/display vehicle parking pass for your chosen day/days into your shopping basket before you get to the ticket selection area.This ticket is the combined driver entry ticket/display parking pass that gives entry to both the driver and their car. So when you get to ticket selection, please only select any passenger entry tickets that you may need.
7) In the shopping basket you will see any additional tickets you have chosen showing as entry tickets and your combined driver entry ticket/parking pass will show as a vehicle display pass (shown at the price for an entry ticket). The tickets will automatically be discounted so that you don’t need to enter any discount codes. Your combined driver entry ticket/vehicle pass, along with any additional tickets purchased, will be sent out immediately.

If you are planning on bringing a display car for your club stand, please make sure you request a combined driver entry ticket/display parking pass as one of your tickets and give details of your car. *Calls cost 7 pence per minute plus your phone company’s access charge.
