brainstorm on the poster design lettering in silver and images off all the generations of the Z face on again in silver
need decent face on photos from Steve Lack or anyone else

144draft_advert-thumb.jpg
see full size in z art section of the gallery can just make out three Z outlines

should the actual models be under each outline?
should any more wording eg established 1976 be included

answers please to give some guidelines as would also like to take up toopy's offer of help as well as markps

its no use them going ahead with layouts unless some feed back on actual content if given

may be bad but got your attention
to me its urgent but to others it can wait till the cows come home

shame that most of the other users and club members don't show any interest in trying to get an up to date poster to promote the club

already there is forums for both the 300 and 350 owners and one has set up a club already and the other is in the poccess of dicussing whether they want to set one up

problem as I see it if we don't attract the 300 and 350 guys to the club and get them to join up and stay in the club the club funds will slowly go down and then the club will noit be able to keep producing its award winning magazine

when that happens in a few years time just watch all the people say why didn't we do something about it a few years ago
but my concience will be clean

Poster needs to show all the z models club logo
when club established the wording "one club all the cars
website address
contact phone number

I personaly like "the largest club for Zs in the UK"
or "the original Uk club for all the ZS

Yeah go with the "original" tagline, promotes authority... I think you'll have to go a bit "MaxPower" to attract the 300 350 drivers... maybe ad a mods section to the gallery, something like that... you know :)

on thinking again about banner now think it should go back to original way as it would then work on a portable flagpole if and when I can get the club to agree to buy one

When the club gets the Ok to buy a flagpole I wouldn't mind getting it for the Japfest in May (and other events of course!) anyone know of some where near Bristol I can get one?
Then it is back down to what art work we use?

Suzy: maybe a sailing club or someone has a second hand one. I have a mate in Bournemouth who owes me a favour, I will see what I can do.

You could try looking on ebay?

I agree with markp. The Maxpower/FastCar/Revs etc brigade is huge and very much the modern thing. Just look at how many magazines there are out there! It's very in-yer-face I know and not really the style of the Z-club, but the 350 (and to some degree Z32) is part of that "scene" with younger drivers. It would be silly for us to ignore it. After all, as time passes, there'll be more 350's and less 240/260 etc around...

The picture doesn't exactly scream "all the Zs" does it? And are these three cars so unloved that the owners have let the weeds grow up around them and in through the door bottom on one?

No sky scribbles, no weeds and at least three different models to bring this near. Sorry.:)

Red sunrise good, flowers not. You'll never see a pic in a car mag of a car on grass. And it needs the full range, especially as it says so in the text.

But, full marks to whoever did it 'cos at least they're having a go.

I could be completely wrong here, but I think Nick mentioned some designs for new tee-shirts, rather than aiming this at the banner design. I think the idea was to have something to update the current 240/60/80 designs that are available.

Nick, am I talking cr*p here?

FWIW I agree with the comments, really like the red sun motif, but the grass is in danger of invoking a headache tbh ..

I agree also that the logo suggests there should be 1 of each car in the picture, but *if* it's a tee-shirt design, that rather limits it to XXXXXXL, mentioning no names .. ;) :D

JB.

P.S. Agree - top marks for having a go.

Agreed top marks for doing something, but I'm not a big fan.

Yes it was mentioned about some more variety for the t-shirts.

If I may be so bold (without getting roped into doing any work) car club t-shirts aren't usually very stylish and are a bit middle of the road, wishy washy, I think someone must know what I mean.

What happened to Mark? He was pretty good with photoshop.

When I finish my project proposals I might have a go at something.

A whole set of things need doing really, we need the logo redone in a vector based format for a start.

Mark where are yoouuuu? (exams I bet)

Hi Folks ! Please keep in mind that I have not used a vector based format for ages and am out of practice,,,,hooooever I am starting this eve to design something that I hope may solve the problem. Might turn out to be pure crap, but you never know! ;) :D Couple of questions,,,is it ok to use pics out of the galleries, or do I have to source my own? and can I post a work uncomplete? Also when,,or if :) I post a work in progress constructive critics are more than welcome!!,,I am sooo out of practice,( gotta keep lookin stuff up in the stoopid manual)

T shirts/ club logos

Hi all yes I know it's abit basic but the design was only really for my local group T- shirt and i modified it with the new club script and I l know there aren't enough models it's the only picture I had to work with which had a good angle of the cars. I will try some more designs and will post a picture of the MSA national T shirt just to see if you would like our shirts to have a similar format any suggestions would be greatly appretiated..

Nick...;)

Trying to find cars at the right angle is a real pain.

How about members who want their car on t-shirts etc get a bunch of different angle shots together and put them up.

Good effort though mate!
