I only met Derek once, a few years ago at a show, Japfest i think it was, he came across as a very warm and enthusiastic chap, a sad loss for the club and will be greatly missed.
My condolences to the family.

Hi Nathan.........
I was gutted when I heard & I am still gutted. I met him regularly at his Police shows & also saw him a week before & spoke to him a day or so before.....He was with a nurse so i said I'd call back. Your dad was & still is to me a lovely man....who contributed to this club & also to life. He had a terrific sense of humour & yet was quite soft spoken. I have great memories of moments together....at Dereks meets in notts, Z club Billing, etc etc etc.
DEREK SULLEY -A FINE MAN & GENTLEMAN......... Who will truly be missed.
I told him I love him........................! I'm glad I did ( I'm not gay) but I say it....because Life is far too short...........................
Derek would want everyone to be cheerful & I'll see you folks at his funeral.

condolances To Nathan/matthew & Sulley family P,s Nathan if you need any help get in touch

A picture of Derek I took at LakeZ in June 2011. I told him he looked like Santa and he said I was a cheeky bugger.

It's quite sobering to think that Derek and Martin Mac who organised the event have both passed away.

I went along today to pay my respects to a really decent guy.

Dale came down from Newcastle, ZBloke (Tim Brown) from Derby and Steve Burns/Paul Wrangle from London. So we were well represented.

A 'nice touch' was a Police car with blue lights running in front of the beautiful Rolls Royce Hearse.

His lovely 280ZX 2+2 RHD needs a buyer now.
