I'm having a few issues at the moment but hope to have it up & running in the next few weeks, if the weather is decent enough to get it out of the garage work on it. So hopefully a nice run out with a few other cars would be a very welcome change compared to the last few miserable months of covid.

Sorry for late reply. I'm in Northumberland.

I live in Ponteland. My 2 seater 260z has been in storage since 1992 and needs to see the light of day again. Where abouts in Northumberland are you?

Whitley Bay but my car went away to be painted today so may be a while before it's out. From this thread it looks like there are 4 or 5 cars locally so once we are all mobile a meet up would be worth while.

Think it will be worth meeting up, even if just a couple of cars are on the road ... mine is literally just out of hibernation. The icon is what it looked like when I took it off the road in 1992, rather than now. ... will take a while to go through it and replace everything that has decayed and rotted. But would like to meet up and see other cars even if mine is still not ready ... it will give me inspiration.

My daily is this Mercedes Sprinter. Brilliant for towing and will carry any car parts with ease, and it does 31mpg round the town. The trailer means I can carry my car in the dry and away from prying eyes.

No but there are plenty of occasions when it needs transporting so the trailer is very useful.

Hi guys, I’m in Blyth & already been mentioned on here. I’ve just put the 260Z away on SORN (it’s a 1980 so not quite free tax !) and not risking any chance of salt on the roads now. Have just purchased a 1972 240Z so that’s another in the area !

Sorted out my issues with 280, turns out that it does not like running on Brown petrol (courtesy of local garage) . Gained MOT on Friday with no issues & will be taxed on 1st july,can't wait to get back out on the road (weather permitting).

Good news. any pictures ? I was supposed to be at the Hartlepool show this weekend but can't make it. There is a car meet at Ryton on Tuesday that always has a good turn out if that's of any interest. Next trip out should be Brunton Airfield on July 3rd.

Sorry did not take any pictures but I have kept the petrol as a souvenir, I'm going to put it in a clear container to see if what is in the petrol settles .
