datsun 280z battery recommendation ?

hi all anyone recommend a good battery for my 280z . put a new battery on about 18 mouths ago but it not holding charge . this could be because i have recharged it more time than soft mik due to the damm thing playing silly buggers with starting .all this is behind me now and 2 weeks from being finished . can you put a larger battery than 60a ? any tech info or battery make size would be fantastic . thanks chris

looking at one as well, the terminals are the wrong way round for most batteries I think this fits, but don't hold it against me if it does not.

You need a L069 type of battery which has the terminals in the right place. I bought a Hankook MF57024 battery from the Battery Megastore for £59 back in February and it has been fine. That was a 70Ah battery. https://www.batterymegastore.co.uk/car-batteries/by-brand/hankook-car-batteries/hankook-mf57024.htm. It is also the right size to fit in the battery clamp.

Just thought. With a 280Z being a LHD, the battery is on the other side of the car to mine which might mean the terminals are the other way round. It depends on where the + terminal is situated. On a RHD car it is under the LH inspection flap. If they are the other way round, you will need the MF 57029.

thanks for the posts turned out my battery was faulty but it was still in guaranteed so i got a nice new one . result
