Do we think he is maybe being a bit unrealistic with his "reserve" or is it just me ?

Seems to be a few people , probably dealers , trying to push for higher prices on our little Z cars these days , look how much is now being asked for 280z's for instance

How many dealers are selling 280Zs within the UK ?

The guy wants a pidgeon, who doesn't consult this site before buying !

Not sure Sean, I not just talking UK stuff , Just an observation from watching eBay and other classic car sites that's all

Sorry, I thought the subject was a UK, RHD car in the UK marketplace today and your '280Z' reference was therefore coincidential with this discussion : https://zclub.net/community/index.php?threads/280z-g.24763/ which is a private seller - the professional never sold it for near that so let's be fair please;) - not all are speculating, some are truly offering real value for money on completely restored Zs and I mean completely not just a blow over and some cute wheels.

This supports your observation : https://zclub.net/community/index.php?threads/lovely-rhd-240z-£35k.24768/#post-283568

Here we go again - it isn't a 'donor' car - it's a genuine UK market RHD 240Z in need of restoration - haven't any of you got any love for the genuine article ? Cheap shortcuts and also including engine power swaps for more power quickly and cheaply.....just becomming a tuning shop !

Rant off.

Sean - it’s pretty buggered. Highly questionable if economically repairable relative to value unless money no object or buyer has the skills to do the bodywork themselves.

10 years ago, people would’ve considered it overpriced at 1500 quid! (And yes I know that is then, this is now etc)

Plus - the Z Club has always been a “tuning shop” - versus the more purist take of the Register. And didn’t your Z have a 3.1L in it? :p

I don't agree : Nothing is beyond repair !

I might accept Richies' comment about economical repair (see below) but then how much is a mint stock original UK 240Z with matching numbers worth these days ?

Anyone ?

So, ALL of the register (who, still active ?) are stock cars and most if not all here are 'tuned' ?

My engine is an L-gata also not matching numbers - my bad.
