Just need some black seat covers now, finish the electrics as I’ve wired up separate relays for headlights and bleed the brakes

Phew - glad you're using the standard seats, bet your Dad is too.

Electrics - original configuration i.e. one fuse per side and 'ground' from switch (just less current through switch)?

Great car and I know how good the body is.

One 30 or 40 amp fuse should be enough for dipped and main I would have thought, although could run two but seems pointless.

Two relays, one for dipped and one for main beam. Using original wiring and making an adapter loom so
I don’t need to cut anything, just plug and play.

Thanks Rob, can’t wait to come to some shows.

I think separate fuses and relays for dipped and main makes sense as a failsafe. Not do much extra effort either.

Hi Dan, not sure you understood my question so here is a diagram. This mod operates the lights in a conventional way and also includes the current reducing relays.

Agreed otherwise if the fuse blows you have NO lights. If you have one for main and one for dip you can switch over in an emergency.

I have done it for the reason you said above Rob. Managed to find some relays with built in fuse holders so put the plug in loom together today and will test Tuesday afternoon.

First time at the weekend the car saw light since last May?

Bled the brakes and the clutch, fired her up and pulled her out to work on a friends car.

Just cleaning up the 3.9 LSD diff I finally found and refitting this weekend, need to finish the interior and mop the rest of the car still but its about done.

This looks fantastic, I'm very jealous of the LSD. I've been keeping an eye out but they just don't seem to pop up these days. It'll be great to have it out on the road I'm sure.

Home now and driving well at last, finally got to polish and mop over it. Have a small show at mira tomorrow during work for people on site so should be good to show it off.

Thanks for the kind comments all.

No, red indicators currently - need to do something about that before I take it out on a trip. Going to order a set of the new euro lights but was waiting for the dollar to get a little better.
