what about a retro/classic bucket that keeps the right feel?

I just fancied something comfortable and useable that were relatively cheap and I wouldn't have to modify floorpans to fit.

I know there's nothing wrong with the stock seats but by the time I've recovered them they will owe me nearly the same as these but be made of plastic nasty leather look and not give any suppprt. Plus I can tie these in with the way the dash would look.

I won't be getting anything further done with interior till the paint is done and it's rolling again so just weighing up my ideas.

So I couldn't bring myself to paint the car brown, this weekend stripped the rest of the interior and prepped ready to be painted. Think I need to do one last wet sand over the car before getting it into the paint shop.

Thanks to Gwyn who dropped down my lower deep Valance yesterday, prepped it quickly and a little tidy to do.

Stripped the rear tailgate this afternoon and will prep it for paint tomorrow along with the headlight surrounds.

I'm hoping the following weekend she will be in paint but I won't be around so may delay things till the weekend after.

It looks like a piece of art there in primer, surrounded by engines etc, with that moody lighting. Sell it for a cool million as is ...

what colour?

Dan it was a real pleasure to meet you, you are a true enthusiast like myself. As for colour if I was lucky enough to be at the stage your at with this car I would only have 3 colours to choose from.

In 3rd place would be red & joint 1st would be dark met blue or jagermeister orange

Look at Tel 240z's cars there is a very cleaver man with real taste, ok the colour of his M3 Z was instigated by me I think ! :D Orange really does suit a Z & if you get the right shade of dark met blue eg Dean Bottrill's car I don't think you will go far wrong.

Dan you where talking red, if it has to be red then I would say Porsche guards red.

Obviously it is your car & your choice. But if I was lucky enough to be in your position I would be looking at the colour of the nicest looking Z's I ever saw in my 30 years of Z ownership, they are Tel's M3 & Dean's turbo car, both are just stunning in my eyes.

P.S. Hope this helps with the confusion ! :D

I really like orange BUT, I think it only goes with lots of black highlights and probably works better with ZG flares.

Blue is great but doesn't shout at you and I already have two blue cars garages...

Red really stands out but it is common... dilemma!

Pleasure to meet you too Gwyn,

Do you have a picture of Deans? I can't find one on here.

Red and bronze work well especially when you come to sell it.

Yes dark metallic blue really suits the car. ;)

I thought Dean's car was supercharged - if it's the one he had many many years ago. I may be able to find a picture to show the colour.

Sorry no I have got rid of all my Z pic's to lose the memories ! Dean's user name on here is turbo deano I'm sure he could even give the paint code. Not sure but Dean's car maybe still in that colour, think it was about 25 years ago when I saw his Z at a show & it totally blew me away

I had a blue Z & used to have many comments about the gorgeous colour, it was a very nice shade sorry don't know what it was, but anyway Dean's was the nicest blue Z I ever saw.

Just go for a dark met blue & I don't think you will go far wrong.

That's my opinion on the matter. As for wheels do something different to the rest of the crowd ;)
