Connector block question for electric mirrors

I would like to get hold of a couple of new female connector blocks to plug into the 4 pin blocks pictured below. These are to extend the wiring for door mirrors to wing mounted electric mirrors on a S130.

Question 1: Are these connector blocks available new? If so what are they called/spec? If not does anyone have a couple of female blocks that are wired which I could extend?

Question 2: I am going to order up some cable. What gauge wiring should I use? The outside diameter of the insulation is 2.16mm

Any help appreciated, thanks.

Thanks for the links, it looks like the first one right enough.

It will depend on whether I can get a hold of the female connector blocks to match the ones already there, I just dont know what type they are or what they are called?

Thanks for the link, I can't see the same ones on that site, but have emailed the guy the pictures to ask if he has them.

Cheers

I think they are Hitachi made, repro for spade type are here:

You could use bullet style individual pins if you cant find the mating half.
Hi Tom, I heard back from the chap you sent me the link for, he passed me onto another guy. He said the connectors were used on "mid 80’s Yamahas". He suggested the following site:

http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/auc-hi-1000/item/4pypck-f/

These look perfect, he did say they were an after-market pattern but they do fit together. I just need to double check the pins are the correct size.

I got time this afternoon to double check the dimensions of the connector block and pins on the car, it looks a 100% perfect match with the items on the site above. So I ordered them up and am waiting for a confirmation email with the final cost for the P&P and tax as they are coming direct from Japan. I got a couple of spares and some extra pins to practice with. It will be interesting to see how long they take to arrive.

Ordered up the cable, I went for the 9/0.30 - OD 2.3mm. The wiring for the mirrors is 7/0.30 - cable OD 2.2mm, so a good match. Just couldn't get the correct 2 colour insulation... but you can take these things too far. :D

Yeh, the colours can be pretty limited, can be confusing at a later date if you've had to splice in or rewire in different colours.

I keep a liitle hand drawn diagram of the circuit concerned and some notes about any re-wiring i do, just to preserve my sanity for any future investigations/mods etc
