Conceptua

Was wondering if anyone on here has dealt with Conceptua for parts through EBay. It’s a bit difficult finding parts since the sad loss of mike Feeney. Or are there any other Uk suppliers?

Conceptua are extortionate price wise. Rockauto.com are probably the best to get most of the standard Z mechanicals and service parts from.

Prices are basically same as buying from US after adding in VAT plus range is limited

They just mark up rock auto stuff. I’d avoid at all costs
I’ve ordered from Rock auto and they were excellent, only trouble is they seem to be out of a lot of items, ie rocker arms, lash pads

Zcardepot and TheZstore cover everything just need to bunch up parts into one order …. Easy for me to do as I seem to be buying everything for my resto as I’m starting at quite far back

It’s the shipping for large parts from the US that’s the killer. I had two doors come the US a decade of more ago and the cost was reasonable I thought back then.

Torqen UK are selling Zcardepot products - I have ordered some odds and sods at £7 delivery - delivery not the quickest so maybe email them with your needs if urgent,

I got excited when i saw they have Techno toy tuning items on the website but they don't stock anything and the prices seem to be higher than what it would cost to order direct unfortunately.

Guess there isn't that big a market in the UK to justify importing any volume of parts.

That's taking the piss really - offering TTT stuff at a mark-up when you could just go direct to TTT. Essentially, unnecessary payment of a middleman. Conceptua and Torquen are just taking advantage of the growth in interest in, and audience for Zs in the UK, and with it the inexperience of the growing number of newbie owners. Hence why you also see all sorts of Z tat on eBay for prices that are frankly ridiculous (certainly from the perspective of anyone "in the know" who's been around the scene a long time and traded the same bits for a fraction of the price).

its the same for Skylines and S bodies now. Torqen did supply some items for Skyline cheaper than I could get in Japan but one of them has been on back order for 3months

Torquen UK have been denied permission to list Zcardeport parts and especially illegally exploit their photos.

They began listing my parts too until we had a little 'private chat'.

My advice is to avoid them because they'll take your money and THEN look around and try to fulfill the order !

Buying direct is always less expensive.
