Not only parts but cars, restored to order and primarily based upon our clean, imported shells.

Two already on the road the blue* and the white** Zs here and there have been these that Martin has also finished (amongst others) - orange 260Z***, 'racing' bi-tone 240Z****.....

*197bhp from its' L24
**170bhp from a 'lazy' torqued L28 on std 240Z carbs
***202bhp using 2" SUs
****235bhp from its' prepped L28

All r-roaded.

More of the white Zs build here : http://otherdrive.blogspot.fr/search/label/Z project

The current car is not far off being finished now, still leaving several in the pipeline for between now and summer - another white, a lime yellow, an orange and perhaps a red satnav.

Here is a brief build history of the current and grey Z - I hope you like the colour as much as us.

Underseal (anti-stone-chip) tinted grey, interior painted allowing it rapidly to become a rolling chassis as the preparation of parts was accomplished in parallel to the body preparation.

The car sits on 8x15 RKRs with 225/50 tyres to keep the low stance - she'll obviously drop as she's loaded - the struts have already been modified to work efficiently at this height.

Note the lovely rechromed bumpers - now I've seen these, I can't abide the 'cheap' rubbery OEM export market corners !

Good work.

There are some lovely cars there Sean.

Still finding good ones in the USA then?

Love the grey car and the bumpers look far better without the rubber. The rubber reminds me of what they put round bumper cars at the fairground. What do you see the value of this car after the restoration?

Hi Sean

How do you manage to get a 225/50 under the arch with the RKR's?

I can only find them in a 0 offset. Surely there wouldn't be room?

Sean failed to mention that this car isn't using standard arches as can be seen in the pics. You may struggle with yours Matt. Take some measurement from John's wheels this afternoon.

John,

These ARE standard arches - nothing added, nothing taken away.

Sorry, it looks like they have had their lips rolled in the pics. My mistake.

We have just tied a set of the same wheels on Matts car and there is no way they will fit without rolling the arches. 215 is probably the limit.

Then we are at cross-purposes John because I maintain that they are standard arches (nothing added, nothing taken away) but they have been rolled (modified).

I class standard arches as OEM on the car and not ZG, GrpIV IMSA or whatever parts added !

A question of terminology.

I have to congratulate Martin on the excellent work, I also like the Citroen H van in there...

The grey really works well Sean, welcome back.

Yep, that's what we were talking about - just roll up the rear arches from about halfway up each side. But this is common knowledge, no innovation here.
