Rob,
Reverse light wiring comes out of main loom by steering shaft, held in place on bulkhead and trans tunnel by plastic covered metal tags, can get sheared off if bent too often!

Mark

Cheers Mark, All I've found so far is the two broken wires coming out of the switch in the gearbox, I'm sure new switches are available from Mike though.

I just couldn't work out what route they took into the car from what is left, Your info willl have me looking in the right direction , Thanks very much.

One little picture of my new home lol, I seem to be spending many hours laying on my back trying to get the new lines to runs as straight as pos.

I'm missing two of the curved rubbers that hold the pipes in place and one of the metal clamps that hold the rubbers in place, So if anybody has a couple spare kicking about doing nothing please let me know.

Small update.

Yesterday I spent the day stripping out all the Ironmongery that holds the diff and wish bones in place, It was all in quite nice clean condition which made the job more pleasant, Shame I'm not using any of it lol, I'm going to use all the stuff that came off the other very minging 1978 Z which took me quite a while to degrease and also remove 20 years of road dirt, All so I can use the bigger stronger R200 diff.

I've dropped it all off to be shot blasted and primed today, As far as work goes on the wish bones I'm having the old bushes pushed out and having them seam welded to add a bit of stiffness hopefully.

I'll get some pictures up once I get them all back in a week or two.

I thought both of your cars were 260Z, one early, one late ?

mmmm, shades of blue sound ok, yellow is sooooooo dated, pink or violet could be good. Black or red will always catch the eye..:driving:

I was thinking about changing the colour of my car the other day......It would be nice if there was a thread with a good picture of a 240z in pretty much every colour choice.... photoshop job for someone clever. It's amazing how colour changes so much about the feel of the car....personally I think they look good in silver, black, white or blue...... maybe red! :)

Mini update.

I've had the diff carrier blasted and epoxy primed, I've spent today cleaning up the diff and diff cover plate.

The diff carrier parts have now been painted with black POR15 and are drying in the garage, Tomorrow I'll wash off the rust killer from the diff and paint that then fit the 3 new seals I bought for it.

I should get the rear wishbones back from the blaster next week, They're being epoxy primed as well after I had them seam welded to add a bit of extra stiffness last week.
