Had my first chance to give the Z a good clean and polish at last due to the first dry weekend for a long time. Came out ok I think.
I fixed my non charging alternator which was down to very dirty old corroded fuseable links which I’ve replaced and was just to go for a drive and noticed I’d sprung an fuel leak from the rear so instead of a drive out come my tools again. Still love the Z.

if your fuel tank has a hole theres a guy i used in birmingham that can cut the tank in half, blast inside and out to remove any rust then patch up holes and seam weld back together.
he did a top notch job of mine that had a large hole in the top.

I have a rear bumper for the car also which is waiting for me to strip it down and then get all US spec holes welded up. I have a local chromer near me so once I’ve got it all ready and test fitted I’ll get the front one redone at the same time

That looks a lovely car James. The 280Z is definitely 'on the up' in this country.

The few drives I have had have fun,I’d forgotten how physical older cars are but you can feel everything the car does, especially compared to my everyday car. It just needs some more power and a few more rpm would be good.

Very nice car James! [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106] love the colour too!

That looks like London in your photos - if you are in London, want to join us for drinks/ burgers at London Bridge on the 10th May after work? (minus your Z of course!)

We can have a proper chat about your car and some easy changes I made soon after buying which transformed the power delivery on my 260z.

I’d like to but I work out of London and I could not make it. Could make a weekend if you plan an other one.
