To be hornest, then i don't give a shite if it's 10 or 15£, not long ago i spend 3.5£ a day smoking, so 5£ a year is nothing compared.
I just think it should be on equal terms and if that can not be done there should be a difference in the fee, so i don't mind paying 15£ and UK members could pay 20£ :p

Or you could say, over sees member have to pay the same, due to the extra cost in shipping for the welcome package !!!......members just have to feel they have been treated equal

There have been so many things covered in this topic and when it comes to membership, evaluation and insurrance, it is like this; i'm a member of the Danish vintage car club, my car have been evaluated (20K) and i do get a cheaper inssurance, i could have that inssurance if i were a member of another club. it just have to have a commitee and be located in DK.

Chris

Let me do bit of investigation into the actual cost of the Membership pack and the variation in the postage
it will not be this weekend but will do it during the week

No, you said you wanted to upset him and hoped he would "eff off"

YES - hence the committee discussion Rob mentioned!

No, actually!

If not, this is surely your intiative to protect the wall-flowers who so need your protection....you assume.

See above.

Let's start with you removing your piss-take signature on me - eh mate ?

Fair enough, proves you can give it but not take it though - eh mate?

You're dangerously close to over-moderating which killed off a lot of fun and chat a few years back now although I respect your right to tell me what you think.

NOTHING has been moderated yet - you have been asked to quit with your attitude in order for us to avoid that. Carry on though and it will happen!

As for being 'part of the club' - I merely pay my way in like any other paid-up club member - nothing more or less - I'm active on this forum and if more club members were it would be a more fun and interesting place....perhaps welcoming too !

Welcoming? Are you having a laugh? With you telling people to eff off? Very welcoming yes....

Finally "Picking on people whom you wish and when you wish will not be tolerated on here." - you pompous **** - if you have to - ban me,forget any international liason of meetingslike Spa and Le Mans Classic, reimburse my traders' fee, my mebership fee, forget the other advertising I'm gong to buy and I'll flog everything on ebay like Gwyn.

Don't push me - calling me names and insulting me and other committee members will just make your situation far worse.

More important than having a poke on here at someone who's doing his bit.

Doing your bit how exactly? Have you forgotten what you have said in your posts or something???

I'm not getting into an arguement Sean. This is not seanclub.net - it is zclub.net - for discussion about the Z cars and like minded people to have some fun together, NOT a platform for keyboard ninjas to throw empty insults around.

Cheers,

Andy

Andy,

I would have expected a moderater to have temporarily closed this thread with a brief message stating that it's under discussion. In fact, that's what you've done but left your message up.

Your reply smacks of scoring points and taking this all personally ! Your signature smacks of provocation - I can take it but many here can't not least of all thelast person who complained because a great debate got too hot for him.........besides, I wasn't the guy who said 'eff off first - it was 'im who is doing the 'effing off !

Likeminded people ?

It's a forum for people with independant minds and who DEBATE - we're not clones who all say yes and smile at each other...........

This isn't a war Mr Burns, it's heated discussion and from which Dale and I have proposed several deas and help to execute them and Chris has provoked a great discussion upon issues that needed to be discussed ages ago and weren't.

I only care about the club, not about your opnions or whether you ban me - any of you who don't know that yet and after all this time, don't know me and shouldn't judge.

You don't like the way I'm discussing.....if I was on the committee, would I be acting (in your eyes) as a keyboard ninja who's got plenty to say and ideas to give ?

You all think that it's be chaos if I was 'in' - well take a risk, take a chance and see. This club is slwoly dying imho and you're watching it happen.

Mods, please, please please don't close this topic, let it live, it's needed.

I know i'm the one actually starting this and i'm kind of proud of it, i feel there is things in need to be adressed, discussed and solved, it seems this goes a long way back and it will stay like that, if a topic get's closed everytime it get's adressed.

Let me suggest:

1. No more personal attack and stay to the subject.
2. Mods, open up the "spike and samuri" thread and delete the last post with no relevance to the topic, but let it live.
3. Members, paying and not paying, stick your head out and post your comments.
4. Don't get offended, look at it as constructive critisism.
5. Don't make comments on my spelling

Let's work together and get this forum/club to be a nice place to frequent, let's get it out.

Sean, the matter is now dealt with and closed. The thread is being cleaned up as I type. Not sure why you had to bring that arguement over to this thread but never mind. You've said your piece and made your apology so as far as I'm concerned lets move on :)

Chris, at no point was it ever intended to close this thread - some good points have been raised and will be discussed :)

Cheers,

Andy

Chris as you were typing this the Spike thread was being cleaned up and being opened again
the reason it was closed was to give a chance for that action to be done without further posts being made

All part of the same subject Andy - was it that obtuse ? As for apologising......I haven't seen any from you or Rob for threatening me.

I can take it, give it and be big enough to say sorry to make the peace after a nice private communication from Mr Burns and Chris..........but I guess you( both) don't feel the need.........!

Just my opinion here why cant a lot of this be done by pm instead of clogging up the site with you did this and getting people to respond to the original post

Just because i'm not paying, doesen't meen i cant think.

Should we get on with the discussion ?

What needs to be discussed is:

1. Classified behavior.
2. How to hire more paying members to the club
3. How to make all paying members to feel equal threated, overseas or domestic
4. How to get more overseas member to join
5. Membership fee, does it stand the stance, is it to low or to high.
6. If Sean have more hair than brain

Have i missed something?

Chris

Allrighty then! Although this thread makes me lose the will to live, I'll throw in my 2p. These are my honest feelings and I mean no offence.

1. Classified behavior.
Agree that only paid members should be able to sell. Completely disagree with your statement that you shouldn't have to pay the same membership fee as everyone else because your not in the UK. There are many benifits to being part of the club, insuance, and valuations are just two of them.
2. How to hire more paying members to the club.
Why? Who says we have a membership problem? Have you been to any of the large meets where we had over 100 members attend? Do you know of any other car club that has as many national and local events as the Zclub? There seems to be a few people who continue to lament the good old days, as far as I'm concerned the jap car scene and the Z scene is as good as it ever has been.
3. How to make all paying members to feel equal threated, overseas or domestic. Why do you think the club has an obligation to make everyone feel equaly threated? This isn't the united nations, it's a UK based car club. If you dont like it, that's a shame, but no one is forcing you to join.
4. How to get more overseas member to join.
I could care less if more overseas members join, why would you expect UK members to think this is important?
5. Membership fee, does it stand the stance, is it to low or to high.
This has been discussed at length during the yearly committe meeting, and I'd say the price is just about perfect. It covers the clubs expenses and doesn't leave a huge balance in the bank.
6. If Sean have more hair than brain.
