I'd like to know what difference in power those single cam heads give. Are they 2 valve? It amazes me how well the original non-crossflow head works. I love the simple, uncluttered look of the crossflow.

Yes, two valve in a semi-hemi chamber.

Like anything, they can be tuned to give high performance, but I think the people who are converting RB20E (and the occasional imported RB30E) heads are doing it for 'the LY look'/wow factor as much as any performance gain.

@atomman needs to get his butt back in gear and plough on with his RB head adaptation to the L6. If successful, that is something I'd like to add to my to-do list after the present 2.2L 18RG and 3.1 L6 builds I have spread around the garage!
