Hi all, just wondering if any of you have any specific insight to coatings specialists who would be able to do Geomet coatings? Most I have spoken to are companies that deal on a business to business basis and aren't interested in dealing with enthusiasts who want a couple hundred nuts and bolts coated. I get it entirely. Whilst there are an abundance of places that will do zinc plating I am trying to find somewhere that will essentially do the same coating as you'd find on modern day BMWs and many other OEMs, it is, as far as I can tell, a zinc flake coating as opposed to a zinc plating. The main upshot being corrosion protection. For reference Geomet coatings, or as it is often referred to zinc flake coating, looks like the attached picture. A dull matte silver finish. I may just be trying to chase a finish that isn't available to the average consumer but wondered if anyone knew of anywhere that would be able to do the coating?
